Overall Winner
Zach Nolan

Davis, WV - Coming into Race Fest at Timberline, Brandon Whipkey was holding onto a small overall points lead. Brandon Higgins is holding onto the Big Wheel class lead. Anticipation was mounting to see if Zach Nolan would be as fast as he normally is on the tough rocky terrain of Tucker County. Thirty-Four riders came out to test themselves and machines on the course. A long track only let the top riders complete four laps. The race was going to end at three laps but they decided to let them go four. Zach Nolan stole the show and won the Overall/Big Wheel class. He completed four laps just under Fifty-Eight minutes and finished with a two minute lead.

Brandon Higgins took second Overall/Big Wheel. Out of everyone all day long in all the races, Brandon was the most consistent. Out of four laps, three of them timed in at fourteen minutes forty-seven seconds. The off lap was seven seconds quicker. That would be hard to do twice. Michael McFarland rounded out the top three and finishing third Overall/Big Wheel.

Dillon Shoemaker

The theme of the Youth Bike race was rocks. All the riders could say in the interview with Roy Dains after the race was how rocky the track was. Zach Nolan talks about it. “It’s a little bit slick and rocky. You gotta keep it on two wheels.” Spoken like a true champion. Brandon Higgins said that track was fun! “It’s real rocky, slick and fun. It was really rocky but it was a good time.” McFarland actually got the holeshot in the race but had a thirty-Six second slower first lap than Zach Nolan.

Tanner Whyte took his Yamaha and won the 85cc 13-15 class. He finished two minutes ahead of second place Trevor Vanscoy. Third place in that class went to West Virginia rider Clint Hale. Dillon Shoemaker had another strong outing and won the 85cc 11-12 class. Second place in that class was fellow KTM rider Jarrett Dudley who finished about ten minutes behind Showemaker. Tyler Snyder Grabbed third in that class. Dallas Helmick took the 4-Stroke 12-15 class with fellow Honda rider Chance Poland coming in second. Alan Frush, also riding a Honda, finished third in the class. The younger and smaller class riders struggled on the course, but all but one finished!
